0x01 // agreementThe Agreement
These terms are between you and Verseta Labs ("Verseta", "we", "us"). By using verseta.ai or the Verseta service you agree to them. If you use Verseta for an organization, you agree for that organization and confirm you are allowed to; "you" then means the organization.
If your organization has signed an agreement with us, such as a design-partner agreement or an order form, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and is part of these terms.
0x02 // the serviceThe Service
Verseta is a model endpoint your apps call in place of their usual provider. It observes the calls you route through it, trains specialist models on that traffic, and sends a matching call to its specialist once the specialist has proven as good as your original model on your traffic. Calls without a proven specialist go to your original model.
Verseta is in early access. Features will change, some will be removed, and the service may be interrupted or paused, including for maintenance or security. There is no uptime commitment unless a signed agreement gives one. Keep a way to call your original provider directly.
0x03 // your accountYour Account
Give accurate sign-up details and keep your sign-in and Verseta API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done with your account and keys. Tell us right away at admins@verseta.ai if you think a key or account has been compromised, and revoke the key in the portal.
0x04 // your dataYour Data
You own the requests you send through Verseta, the responses you get back, and the traces we keep of them ("your data"). You give us permission to store and process your data only to provide the service to you, which includes training, evaluating and serving specialists for your workspace. We don't use your data for any other customer or to build shared or general-purpose models.
You are responsible for having the rights, notices and consents needed to send your data to us, including any personal data of your users. Don't send protected health information, payment card numbers or government identifiers unless we have agreed to it in writing; we do not sign business associate agreements yet.
We keep your data confidential and delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.
0x05 // specialistsSpecialists
Specialists trained on your data are dedicated to your workspace. We won't serve them to, or reuse them for, anyone else, and we delete them when you ask or when your account closes. You may use them through the Verseta service. Exporting specialist weights is available only where a signed agreement provides for it, and is subject to the license of the underlying base model.
0x06 // model providersYour Model Providers
When Verseta forwards a call to your original model, it does so with your provider key and under your account with that provider. Your provider's terms, usage policies and fees apply to those calls, and you are responsible for following them.
0x07 // acceptable useAcceptable Use
Don't use Verseta to:
- break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or send content you don't have the right to send;
- generate content or take actions that your model provider's usage policies prohibit;
- access another workspace's data, probe or bypass our security, or interfere with the service, including by flooding it with requests;
- reverse engineer the service or its specialists, except where the law allows despite this term;
- resell or offer the service to others without our written agreement.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
0x08 // feesFees
Early access is free unless a signed agreement sets fees. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before charging for anything, and you can stop using the service before then.
0x09 // outputsOutputs
AI models make mistakes, and specialists can too. A specialist takes a job only after scoring as well as your original model on your traffic, but it won't answer every call the same way. You are responsible for how you review and use outputs, and for decisions your apps or people make with them.
0x0A // our propertyOur Property And Feedback
We own the Verseta service, software, training methods and this website, and we keep all rights not given to you here. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
0x0B // no warrantyNo Warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or produce particular results or savings.
0x0C // liabilityLimits Of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, even if warned they were possible. Our total liability for any claim about Verseta is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $100.
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims that arise from your data or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.
0x0D // endingEnding
You can stop using Verseta and close your account at any time by emailing admins@verseta.ai. We may end your access with 30 days' notice, or right away for a serious breach of these terms. When access ends, we delete your data and specialists as the Privacy Policy describes. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as your data, our property, no warranty and liability, do.
0x0E // generalGeneral
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for material changes, email customers at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use Verseta after that means you accept them. These terms and any signed agreement are the whole agreement between us about Verseta. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of our business.
